Our Doctors
The following doctors use the services provided by Boonah and Kalbar Medical Centres to conduct their independent practices. The doctors set fee policy and fees independently and patients are encouraged to ask reception whether a gap fee will apply for their visit.
Dr. Tony Eviston MB BS; FRACGP
Practicing across the full range of General Practice. Special interests include chronic disease management, diabetes, counseling, men's health and medical education.
Dr. David Eviston MB BS; BSc (Hons); PhD, FRACGP
Dr. David grew up in Boonah, graduated from University of Queensland in Science and from Sydney University in Medicine. After 2 years at Nepean Hospital as a resident doctor and PhD student he spent 2014 as a GP locum at Boonah and Kalbar Medical Centres, In 2015 and 2016 he worked at Goondiwindi and Gatton respectively whilst completing his General Practice training before returning to Boonah to establish his own practice.
Dr. Lauren Browne MBBS; BSc; FRACGP
Dr. Lauren is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and with wide ranging interests including child health, chronic disease and skin cancer. Lauren has broad experience in Medicine and has previously served over 20 years in the RAAF. She sees patients at the Kalbar surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Dr. Paul Everett MBBS MHSc EMAD (ACEM)
Dr Paul Everett was an army kid who settled in Brisbane to finish his schooling; however, he very much enjoys the lifestyle and sense of community of our country town. He has a longstanding career in health beginning in 1994 as an ambulance officer and intensive care paramedic. Dr Paul completed his medical degree as a mature aged student and has subsequently spent many years specialising in emergency medicine and has also worked for the Australian Defence Force.
Dr Paul’s commitment and passion for helping others has led to him to working in a general practice setting as a Rural Generalist Registrar affiliated with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. His professional pursuits encapsulate a wide spectrum of medical expertise, encompassing acute and complex medical conditions in both paediatric and adult patients. Other interest areas include mental health, preventative medicine, men's health, weight management, antenatal and postnatal care. Dr Paul is a compassionate doctor providing comprehensive patient centred care.
Dr. Vinuri Hapuhinne MBBS (Honours)
Dr. Vinuri is an honours graduate of Monash University. She is joining our practice on a part time basis to further her advanced General Practice training. Her previous medical roles include wideranging experience at Bundaberg, Redcliffe and Boonah Hospitals. Vinuri will have appointments at Boonah clinic on Mondays and Fridays and on occasional Thursdays at Kalbar.
Dr. Mark Roxas MD BSc
Dr Mark is a friendly GP who values long-term relationships with patients and families and is completing his GP training in Boonah.
He has experience working in regional Albury-Wodonga and predominantly at Austin Health in Melbourne, with interests in mental health, men's health, chronic disease care, and sustainable lifestyle change.
Outside work, he enjoys staying active, loves musicals, and is a proud pet parent to two cats in Australia and a dog in the Philippines.
Dr. Sutapa Talukdar MBBS MPH
Commencing in April 2026, Dr. Sutapa Talukdar is an Australian Medical Council-certified medical practitioner holding an MBBS from Sylhet Medical College, Bangladesh and a Master of Public Health from Queensland University of Technology.
She has over five years of clinical experience across hospital and general practice settings in Bangladesh and Australia, including two years as a Rotational Senior House Officer at Ipswich Hospital with rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Geriatric Medicine and Surgery.
Sutapa has special interests in Women's Health, Paediatrics and Chronic Disease Management, delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
The doctors are registered with all relevant regulatory authorities and are on the Vocational Register of General Practitioners.
